Tipard Zune for Mac is a video conversion program. You can use to convert your video files so that you can play them on your Microsoft Zune. This utility can output files in five different video formats: AVI, H.264, MPEG-4, WebM and WMV. The audio formats supported are AAC, MP3, WMA and M4A. It also has seven different conversion profiles for the Zune. These are pre-configured conversion settings for optimal playback on the device. Three of the conversion profiles use WMV, two H.264 and two MPEG-4. There are HD profiles with resolutions of up to 1280x720 (720p). Input format is quite good. I opened MKV, AVI and MOV files just fine.
A video editor can be found on the toolbar when files have been added to your conversion queue. It allows you to trim and crop your videos, add watermarks and adjust brightness, contrast and saturation. It is not the most fully-featured video editor that I have seen, but it works well.
In my testing, I loaded an MKV file and converted it to the HD profile that uses H.264. I also trimmed the video to a 1-minute clip to test the trimmer. The conversion was finished in over 1 minute and 30 seconds, and the resulting file looked quite good. Although there is a subtitle drop-down menu that should let you choose which subtitle you want to use for your files, this feature didn't work.
