Tipard PSP Video Converter for Mac is a commercial video converter. It can be used to convert pretty much any video into a few different formats that are supported by the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP). The supported output formats are: MPEG-4, H.264, DivX, XviD, and WMV.
The application has a nice video editor. It allows you to carry out basic video editing operations like trimming your videos to make shorter clips out of them, or cropping the image to reduce the resolution. It can also be used to adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation. The editor works well and I didn't have any problems playing complicated files like MKV or HD MP4 in it.
In my testing, I loaded a full MKV movie, which I trimmed to a 1-minute clip for testing purposes. I then selected the standard MPEG-4 profile for the PSP. The conversion took less than half a minute, which is on par with other solutions in terms of speed. The file also looked nice, although of course, the resolution decreased.
In short, this is a nice converter with a good feature set. It works well and it is incredibly easy to use.
