Tipard iPod + iPhone Mac Suite 3.6.30

Tipard iPod + iPhone Mac Suite combines two useful apps for any iOS user. These programs are iPod Transfer Pro for Mac and iPhone Ringtone Maker for Mac. The first one is the best out of the two and it is a complete solution that lets you transfer content from and to different iOS devices. The second application, as its name suggests, can be used to create ringtones out of video and audio files. This one is more useful for iPhone users than iPod users.

I did most of my testing with iPod Transfer Pro because it is the software of this suite that has the most features. The first option is the most basic and that is to transfer content from and to iOS devices. I tested it with an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 and they both were detected without any problems. Once the device is detected, you will see a list of things that you can transfer from and to the device. Music, movies, ringtones, and photos can all be transferred back and forth to your computer. If you want to transfer more types of content, you will need to purchase the "Ultimate" version of iPod Transfer from Tipard, or find another solution on the market. This application also comes with a DVD ripper, a video converter and a ringtone maker, which I would say renders the second part of the suite irrelevant. I was able to convert a video file that I then copied onto my iPad using the built-in converter without any problems.

Both applications work well and their graphical user interface is easy to navigate. If you are thinking of buying both apps, purchasing this suite will result in some savings. To be honest, this suite isn't as useful as other Tipard ones, mainly because the ringtone maker is already included in Transfer Pro.
