Tidy Up is a program that helps you reclaim disk space by removing duplicated files from your Mac. The utility supports drag-and-drop actions, is compatible with many file types, works fast, and features a straightforward interface.
You can choose between 2 scan modes (Simple and Advanced), each with its own set of settings. Simply choose the preferred scan type, select the directory or drive you wish to analyze, and the program will get the job done. A great thing is that you can also use this tool to find and delete duplicated files from external storage devices, such as USB sticks. Once the scanning process is complete, you can select the files and folders you want to delete.
The Simple scan mode provided me with accurate results. It managed to find several duplicated image files on my Mac and immediately sent them to Trash.
However, when I tested the Advanced search mode, the results weren't as accurate as I hoped. To be more exact, the program suggested that several files were duplicates when in fact they weren't (their names were similar, but with different file extensions). In my opinion, you should give the program a try on your Mac, see how it works, and then decide if it's worth buying it for your computer or not.
