The Mystery of the Mary Celeste is a hidden objects game with an interesting plot.
You will be playing as Mary Morehouse, a descendant of a sailor aboard the original Mary Celeste, a merchant ship mysteriously discovered unmanned and abandoned at sea in 1872. Mary Morehouse has been invited to the maiden voyage of the Mary Celeste II, and she will investigate the strange events that then began to happen.
As in many hidden objects games, you will see at the bottom of the screen a series of drawings representing the items you are supposed to find in each scene. You will pick those items by clicking on them, once you have found them. If you do not find anything, you can ask for a hint clicking on the compass at the lower right corner of the screen. Sometimes you will have to put some of the items you found into a different place in order to perform an action or to get a clue.
The whole game takes place into a well-devised mysterious atmosphere. The graphics and sounds contribute to create a really scary experience.
