Do you also often need the terminal for some small tasks? Since I don't use it very often, I don't need to have the terminal running in the background all the time. But when I do need it, it's just a few clicks away and I have to close the window and the app afterwards. This is why I created "terminalChat". It's a Konfabulator widget on your desktop that has a line for your shell commands and some space for the terminal output. It looks like a chat window, which is why I called it "terminalChat". If you don't need it, you can collapse the whole window into a small line.
