Tarisland is a free-to-play role-playing game from Tencent. This fantasy MMORPG is a cross-platform game that supports PC and mobile devices. In this new multiplayer experience, you get to choose from one of nine playable classes. Different skill and armor sets create different gameplay experiences, necessitating teamwork to ensure your survival.

Serve the primeval gods

Tarisland revolves around three primordial gods. As legends rise and fall over the eons, the song of heroes has become silent. As an ancient evil starts creeping through the lands, you respond to the call. The game lets you play as one of the nine-character classes—Ranger, Paladin, Warrior, Mage, Priest, Bard, Fighter, Phantom Necro, Shadow Swordsman, and Barbarian. Each of them has two sets of specialization talents and eight main ultimate abilities.

Additionally, the game includes five dungeons designed for 5-player teams, each available in multiple difficulty levels. It also boasts eight raid bosses for 10-player groups and various PvE modes, including Dark Invasion, Universal Hall, and Arcane Realm. Beyond PvE content, the game offers PvP gameplay, such as the Arena. You can also choose your adventure by engaging in activities like fishing, vast world exploration, and more.

Visually stunning 3D experience

Visually speaking, this game opts for a full 3D experience, with a visual design quite similar to World of Warcraft, which the Tencent title aims to replace following Blizzard’s exit from the Chinese market. One distinct difference, however, is that this game places emphasis on not being pay-to-win—developers committed to preventing stat-boosting items from being sold via microtransactions, only cosmetics.

The effects are nothing too special, although it does bring back the fun in cooperative multiplayer. It also features specially designed raid dungeons that are intentionally difficult for average solo players but enjoyable when played with a guild or party. Similarly, there’s a good range of mobs designed to fit their role in the story and their location. Some players experienced poor optimization in the animations and frequent crashes.
