Syobon Action is a 2D Japanese platform freeware game that is based on Super Mario Bros. The concept of the game was influenced by Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The MIDI renditions of various games are featured throughout the game, as well as some level designs that are designed to make players frustrated. The title screen incorrectly states that the game is called "Syohon no Akusyon" (Cat Mario).
This game has cross-platform online play and is free to download. It was originally developed for iOS, but has since been ported to Windows and the Creators Collection by Michael Trebilcock.
