Swift Share is a system utility that lets you share folders more easily. Mac OS X makes it really easy to share files and folders with other Mac and Windows users. But, as it is the case with other system features, you can't change every little option without going to the Terminal or editing configuration files. Swift Share solves that problem by presenting you a ton of different settings that you can enable or disable, or otherwise change from a graphical user interface.
Using the application, you can also manage your current shared folders and add new ones. And you can change settings for Mac and Window users, which is something I didn't even know you could do.
The main window is divided into several different screens. The most interesting one is called "Share Points". These are all your shared folders. You can click on them to change their settings, or click on the "+" or "-" buttons to add or delete shares.
I found it very easy to add new shares. It was much faster than going to the system preferences and adding them that way. One thing that I couldn't do was to start or stop the file sharing capabilities from within the app.
In short, Swift Share gives you access to a ton of features that you can manage from a graphical interface. It is not the most affordable app out there, but it seems to work well.
