Surface: The Noise She Couldn't Make is a hidden object game that tells you the story of the adventures of a psychic who enters the mind of a young girl. Your objective is to find out what happened prior to finding her unconscious, with a bloody knife next to her.
You will get into her mind using your psychic abilities and explore locations connected to the child's memories. The game will bring you various scenes filled with puzzles and useful items, plenty of hints, and an integrated help guide.
The Map makes a nice touch too as it provides you with a simple way to teleport from one location to another.
Another advantage is the fact that you can always change the difficulty level, even during gameplay. The app features three difficulty levels: Casual, Advanced, and Hardcore.
The plot was interesting, but the cinematics didn't impress me much. Even though the graphic artists used actual people in their videos, the dialogues were dull and the voices didn't correspond with the images. However, the graphics from the hidden object mini-games were nicely-drawn, in high detail.
In my opinion, you can find a lot of other hidden object adventure games that provide you with more interesting storylines and impressive graphics and cinematics. Nevertheless, you can try the trial version of this game and see if it's worth buying it for your Mac.
