SuperDesktop is a program designed for Mac that helps you prevent other users from seeing what's on your desktop while you're away from your computer. This application lives in your Menu Bar, uses a small amount of CPU resources, and is very simple to configure.
By clicking on its Menu Bar icon you reveal a panel from where you can choose to hide all desktop icons. You can also choose one of the quality wallpapers offered by the developers of this app and set it as a cover page for your desktop.
Another advantage is that when you enable the Virtual Desktop option, not only it hides everything from your desktop and shows a nice wallpaper on your screen, but it also minimizes all opened windows. After you disable Virtual Desktop, all app screens are still minimized to your dock.
I also like the fact that you can create one up to three virtual folders and link them to any directory within your Mac. Once you enable the Virtual Desktop option, the app will display the selected wallpaper and the linked folders on your screen.
The one thing that bothers me is that you cannot select an image file and set it as a wallpaper. You can only enable one from the wallpaper collection offered by SuperDesktop.
