In Supaplex, you guide a toothy-grinned red dot by the name of Murphy through levels full of squares with different types of obstacles, from grey walls and green paths to other dangers. The game introduces these gradually, and across several different game mode,s for a smoother progression.
The game's tutorials don't give a great idea of how to play it, but just experimenting a bit can make up for that. It's an easy game to learn, and difficult but not impossible to master, with new rules introduced steadily, multiple game mod with different difficulty levels, and a lot of settings for players to take advantage of, either to make the game more enjoyable, or to make it easier or harder.
Overall, though Supaplex shouldn't be your first choice to entertain very young children, it will probably appeal very much to clever 10- and 11-year-olds looking for a lengthy, progressively challenging puzzle game to play on a tablet or even a phone. And adults can enjoy it, too, as our review team discovered.
