At night, your computer screen displays a blue-colored light which is a bit different from the orange one emitted by your indoor lights. It's been revealed that this aspect might slow down the process of falling asleep. A solution comes from SunsetScreen, a utility which allows you to adjust the color tone of your screen.
The application features easy-to-configure settings and brings you a user-friendly interface. It features various screen profiles which can be applied with just a few clicks. You can also set the sunrise and sunset times if you want SunsetScreen to automatically change the appearance of your desktop.
Another advantage is the fact that it doesn't slow down the performance of your PC while operating in your system tray.
The only bad aspect I noticed while testing the application was that it constantly displayed a pop-up window when selecting one of the listed screen profiles. The message says: "This color is currently outside the range allowed by Windows...". Still, the program applies the selected changes immediately after you click over the "OK" button from the pop-up window.
All in all, SunsetScreen proves to be a smart addition to your collection of Windows apps. It might prove to be of good use to people who work late at night and wish to change the screen color to help them fall asleep quicker after completing their tasks.
