SubDesktop is a free program that will put all your desktop icons into a window. That can be very handy if you want to enjoy the picture you have put in the background, as a wallpaper, and you don´t want your desktop to be cluttered with lots of direct accesses and icons. Every command that was available before the use of the program when right-clicking on the desktop will be available now, right clicking on the window that the program created. When you shut down the program, your desktop will look exactly the same as before running SubDesktop. Any configuration that you change (like "Autoarrange Icons" or "Align Icons to Grid") will be mantained, with or without the program running. The program seems to work better in Windows versions prior to Windows 7. It works in Windows 7, but the second time you run the program, it will probably begin to fail. The screen will flick, the desktop will have the icons, but the window too, and you will have difficulties trying to click on an icon. In resume, SubDesktop can be a handy tool for users of Windows versions up to XP.
