Stock Menulet is a menu bar app that monitors stock prices and news. Its focus on news and commentary distinguishes Stock Menulet from any other stock ticker. The program shows not only news feeds from financial websites, but also streams of commentary from social media and microblogging sites.
The font color indicates whether a price is increasing (green) or decreasing (red). Any number of stocks can be monitored, and all prices and relevant news items are displayed together in a drop-down menu.
We created this simple application after an exhaustive search failed to turn up a program we liked. It is dead simple to use: (i) download, (ii) run, (iii) click to change or add ticker symbols. The application monitors the rate of price change and alters its update frequency accordingly, so you don't miss a beat.
