Stapler is a small application which blends certain aspects of classic notepads, outliners and check lists. You can think of it as a foldable notepad. Or a multi-document to-do list.

Or a foldable multi-document single-file to-do list slash next-generation notepad on steroids.

In fact, Stapler’s main utility is to quickly jot down multiple notes. But you don’t flip through pages one by one, like you would with a traditional notepad. Instead, you create piles (or stacks) of notes (or items) – on top of each other.

Items can then be rearranged by simple drag’n’drop, and also be collapsed to only show the first line of their content. Each item features a checkbox labelled “done”, which you can tick off to mark it as… uhm… done. It will change its color, too.

Speaking of color, you can of course write in full OS X beauty: multiple fonts, colors, styles, even include pictures and sound files. And being a fully native Cocoa application, Stapler benefits from the awsome power of OS X’ text system, including spell checking, auto-completion and dictionary look-up).
