StandUp is a time-tracking tool that monitors your work sessions and lets you know when it's time to take a stretching break. This way, you prevent back, neck, eye, or other body aches you may suffer when sitting in front of the computer for a long time.
With a minimalist user interface, the application is very easy to manage. You have the ability to set the Work time and the Stretch rate by dragging the corresponding sliders. When the time session ends, you are notified both visually and acoustically that it is time to stand up and make stretching exercises. The sound of the alarm can be selected from available profiles or can be disabled. Optionally, if you can't suddenly stop working, you can snooze taking the break and continue your activity for another five minutes, fifteen minutes, or half an hour. Also, you can control the timer manually if you find it more convenient, but only to stop the time counting, not to pause it.
To sum up, this application helps you avoid the negative consequences of sitting in front of the computer for an extensive amount of time. Sometimes, focusing intensively on your activities makes you lose the notion of time. Such a program will remind you that taking stretching breaks is important to keep your body healthy.
