We all know that photos downloaded from your cameras are hard to organize, sort, and order, as their titles come in different formats, according to the camera model and manufacturer used to take those photos.
Stamp is a nice little application that helps you in such situations. It lets you rename photos taken with digital cameras in such manner that they can easily be sorted chronologically.
An interesting fact: this application hasn’t been updated for more than 10 years, yet despite being so old, it still works perfectly fine even on my Windows 7 system. It flawlessly renamed the photos according to my settings, without any problem. It can use the metadata of the images to add dates (timestamps) to their titles, making the photos easy to order chronologically.
Though its interface looks dull and outdated, Stamp is easy to use and straightforward. It also can batch process large number of photos at the same time, in an easy and fast manner. Plenty of configurable options and filters are also available.
To sum it all up, it’s no wonder this tool lasted over the years: it’s undeniably handy and the fact that it’s also completely free makes it even more attractive.
