Spot-O-Meter is an application that measure the CPU and I/O intensity of Spotlight indexing. This application can tell you how much Spotlight is interfering with your system, or if it's interfering at all. Intense Spotlight indexing can bottleneck a system, sometimes making a user think there's something wrong with their systems. Spot-O-Meter, if it does nothing more, can at least tell you if the performance problems you may be experiencing are real or Spotlight induced.
