SplitMP3toWaves is an Apple Script for Mac OSX that splits up a long playing MP3 (or any other QuickTime audio) such as a long recording of a lecture or audio book in to wave files of your choice of seconds (running the script prompts you with how many seconds each wave file should be). Those files can then be used to burn CDs with iTunes, Toast or any other CD burning software.
