Speed4WEB is a program that optimizes your Internet connection. It achieves this by tweaking some parameters in your system. You should reboot your computer after installing this program, for the changes to be effective. Upon restart you will be able to watch how your connection is doing through the Active Icon Traffic Indicator that will be located in the task bar. Then, through the Speed4WEB´s interface, you can cancel the downloading of pictures and disable animated GIFs while visiting slow Web sites or during peak hours of Internet traffic, in order to speed up the process. The acceleration can be disabled or enabled through the program, and you can also disable the graphic display. The main window will show you the Connection Speed Graphic Analyzer, that will display your Internet connection's performance in real time. You can set the time scale zoom to meet your preferences. The program will keep a Speed History that will show you the Internet activity that took place when you were away from the computer.
