Spanish FlashCard BASIC 2.6

This application was designed for Mac users who wish to learn simple Spanish words and phrases. The program comes in handy if you plan on traveling to Spain and need to study some basic expressions useful when requesting directions from the locals.

Spanish FlashCard BASIC brings you a straightforward interface, lets you choose between 4 types of exercises, and comes with built-in text-to-speech support. Furthermore, it automatically keeps track of your progress.

You have access to the following activities: Word, Meaning, Spelling, and Listening. Once you complete an exercise it immediately becomes unavailable and you can continue your practice by solving the next challenges.

An important advantage is the fact that this program not only it helps you learn how to write Spanish words or expressions but it also provides you with correct audio pronunciation for any of the listed terms. Unfortunately, the application comes with a small amount of words and expressions. Furthermore, you cannot retake tests. Once you complete an exercise, it becomes unavailable.

Suffice to say that this program is as basic as it gets. The app features a very small amount of words and phrases and the only solution available for adding more terms is to upgrade the utility. So, if you want to learn more about the Spanish vocabulary, I'd suggest you trying a different utility on your Mac or upgrade the application.
