As a teacher/lecturer, director, student in the performing arts, curator of a gallery or public performance space, imagine being able to access your usual performance/gallery space 'virtually' at any time, putting yourself into any seat of the audience and viewing a set/artwork from any perspective and being able to light that space with industry standard equipment and to see the overall effect without worrying about the health and safety implication. SPACE is a 3D teaching and learning resource, particularly aimed at supporting performing arts/art/design lecturers/teachers and students in both Higher and Further Education and also professionals that want to create a quick visualisation of how something might look to test for problems and issues. SPACE stands for Simulated Performing Arts Creative Environment and is jointly supported by JISC and the HEA under the Open Educational Resources Programme.
