Soundwaves is an easy-to-use client for the Subsonic music server on Mac. It can also stream movies from Subsonic servers in supported formats (.mov, .mp4, .mpv, .3gp, and FLAC) or with proper transcoding configuration. Soundwaves is compatible with other media servers that use the same Subsonic API, such as Madsonic, Airsonic, Supysonic, LMS, and Ampache.

Sometimes a server can reply with invalid character data (usually due to broken ID3 tags): Soundwaves now tries to be more tolerant and recover, if possible, from this errors.
