Disable the sleep mode from activating after a certain period of time whenever an audio playback is active in Mac OS X, but no other activity is detected in the system. Maintain the playback indefinitely until manual shutdown. The utility works with Mac OS X 10.5.
SoundStay is a Mac OS X 10.5 or later utility that prevents audio output from going to sleep. This utility prevents the popping noise and delays caused by the output turning off automatically after 30 seconds of no audio. Please note that SoundStay also prevents the system from sleeping automatically.
