SoundPitch lets you change certain aspects of audio playback. It was intended for people who want to learn how to play a song. Earlier, people slowed down the tempo of a song with a record player to methodically practice it and learn how to play it. Time flied and now SoundPitch allows you not only to control the pitch of an audio clip but also to change the tempo and rate of any song.

The app consists of two separate tabs in the same window. The first one enables you to control the pitch, tempo and rate of the song by moving sliders left or right. You can change the percentage of pitch and tempo and the hertz for the rate. The second tab is the Metronome. This is a device that can produce regular ticks or beats. I have mostly seen this being used by piano players. From this tab, you can activate or deactivate the metronome and change its beats per minute. The default value is 120. You can also set the metronome to start when you begin playing a song.

Moreover, SoundPitch can open MP3 files. You simply can drag and drop them onto the window to load them. The app has a trial version that will only play the first thirty seconds of your song.
