Songster is an application that allows users to drop audio files into it and generate ALE files for import into Avid Media Composer. It reads the metadata from audio files using Spotlight, but can also use a different method if Spotlight is unavailable. Supported audio formats include AIFF, MP3, and MPEG4-Audio (m4a). WAV files are not supported.
