If there was an award for weirdest name for an application then Somatic Rebirth System would surely be a contender. It sounds like some kind of medical breakthrough in birthing methods.
In actual fact, it's a whole new look for your Mac courtesy of an imaginative developer. Somatic Rebirth System features a collection of 80 freeware icons icons ranging from new folders, hard drives and discs to toolbar icons and much more. But it goes much beyond that because it comes complete with a new dock and other goodies.
For instance, those that use the developer's other application Candybar can also customize the appearance of your OS X Dock as well as the entire system folder with a single click. The problem is, the icons and redesign might not be to everyone's taste. I personally think Mac OS's default theme is much more elegant than the collection provided here although if you get easily bored with your desktop's appearance, I can understand the appeal.
Somatic Rebirth System is for all those that are bored of the look of Mac OS and want a complete redesign - not just a few icons.
