SnapEase is an open-source image editor created for Mac. This application might come in handy if you wish to create a photo album or a collage and need all of the pictures to fit a certain pattern, such as similar resolutions or file extensions.
The utility doesn't provide you with the most appealing interface. Its black background image might be quite annoying, especially if you import images that contain the aforementioned dark color or have black margins. Also, after you load your images, you will notice that's a bit difficult to spot the icons of the editing tools.
You can use the application to crop, rotate, desaturate (adjust the levels of saturation, contrast, etc.), and rename images. Also, you can work with this program if you wish to convert images to PNG or JPEG format. The built-in editing options worked great and the app preserved the quality of the input pictures.
Unfortunately, SnapEase supports a limited amount of input formats. Files with extensions like PSD, EPS, AI, CDR or ICNS cannot be loaded and altered.
Also, the program provides you with a small number of editing options. There are plenty of other image editors designed for Mac that give you access to dozens of image altering options, and are also free or come with a reasonable price. With that being said, I think SnapEase is not the optimum image editor for most Mac users.
