Smooth Solitaire Free is a free card game for the Mac. It allows you to play two variants of the well-known solitaire game: Klondike 1 and 3. The goal of the game is to form a full foundation of cards of the same suit from ace to 1. When you start the game, the cards are handed out in different piles and there are four foundations at the top, where you can drag cards. The first card that you can drag is the ace. You can pile cards together below the foundations in alternating colors, regardless of the suit. If you happen to have a free space below, you can drag any card to it and start grouping them together. Solitaire is a game of patience, and you can't always win. For example, I know people who've played thousands of times and who have only won a couple dozen games.
This particular game features nice card- and table design and you can move cards by either double-clicking or dragging and dropping. When you start a game, a time counter will start, and the computer will automatically keep your score, which depends on how many cards you managed to move to the foundations and the groups that you have made.
The only problem I encountered with Smooth Solitaire Free was that, in windowed mode, the timer and the score were cut out by the application title bar. This can be solved by going into full-screen mode (escape key).
