SIW (System Information for Windows) is an application that examines the content of your computer and helps you visualize details about three constituents of a system: software, hardware and network.

The interface is easy to use and the menu has suggestive buttons. The left menu reminds of other dedicated programs, but it comes with a more logical structure.

It’s a complete program which offers a multitude of easy-to-understand information. It focuses on both performance and aspect, a thing that not many applications manage to realize. The search time is short for all the options, but for finding protected files it takes some time. As I've already said, SIW wants to be a serious program. For accurately finding the IP address, it uses 4 different websites.

You can also use this app for decrypting passwords of various websites. This is an efficient method especially for Internet Explorer, because this browser reveals the entire password, unlike other browsers that partially detect it. For finding passwords, you can also use the ‘Eureka!’ function. However, this option doesn’t work for Internet Explorer. Another option which I enjoyed to see is ‘Wake On Lan’. This feature gives you the possibility to start remotely a computer connected to the network. For doing this, you need to know the MAC address. Another important characteristic is that it can create a full report, and export it in HTML, JSON, CSV, TXT or XML formats.

In my opinion, this tool is better looking and even more efficient than similar programs. Although it gives you lots of various options, SIW isn’t an overloaded application. It occupies only 3.85 MB, which isn’t much compared to similar programs.
