Simple Port Tester is a neat application created to test TCP and UDP ports. This tool offers a fast and easy method to check and see which ones of your ports are opened. It is especially suitable to test whether port forwarding is working properly. Therefore the application opens a port and listens for the available connections to provide truly accurate testing. Unfortunately, for causes that I couldn’t determine, I wasn’t able to make this application work properly on my computer. No matter what port I specified and what protocol (TCP or UDP) I selected, all tests failed. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Simple Port Tester won’t work on your computer either, but I have serious doubts about its reliability.
Anyway, Simple Port Tester is indeed simple, just as its name says. Its interface is straightforward, neat and self-explanatory; therefore it won’t pose any problems even to complete beginners. It's also neat, lightweight and resource-friendly.
In my opinion, the best thing about this tool is the fact that it’s free, so you can give it a try and see for yourself if it’s of any use to you.
