SimAQUARIUM is a realistic 3D screensaver that recreates the beauty of a coral reef environment. The screensaver consists of 5 different reef tanks, with great backgrounds and a large variety of fish and corals. SimAQUARIUM can be customized and has great options.
As of the version 2.6, SimAQUARIUM can be customized with live clams, starfish, and you can choose among 41 species of fish and beautiful coral reefs. New features enable users to brighten the room or make it darker. You can also change tanks using the keys "M" and "N" to move to a next or previous one.
Sound effects are amazingly real, resembling an underwater environment, though the program has some volume level problems. Also this version enables users to add their own music. The fish, though, aren't that great; the designers could improve their appearance, they don't look as real as the rest of the designs in the background.
SimAQUARIUM has been claimed by users and software libraries as the best virtual aquarium screensaver, thanks to its excellent effects. It only requires to install Adobe's Flash and to have DirectX 8.1 or newer. Also, it is compatible with Windows Vista.
