Sickle Cell is a versatile mobile application developed by the National Informatics Centre as part of the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission. This app is designed to be used by Health Facility (HF) Users, providing them with the ability to access and utilize its features both online and offline.
One of the key features of Sickle Cell is its real-time data capturing capabilities. Health Facility Users can register individuals by linking their ABHA (Anaemia, Blood disorders & Hereditary Anomalies) ID with their mobile number. The registration process includes various authentication methods such as OTP, fingerprint, facial recognition, demo authentication, or by scanning the ABHA QR Code. This ensures secure and accurate registration.
Once registered, the app allows for the screening and confirmatory testing of Sickle Cell Disease, Thalassemia, or Other Variants. The tests can be conducted using methods like Solubility/Slide Method, HPLC, Electrophoresis/Gazelle, or Point of Care. These test details can be added both online and offline, providing flexibility for different scenarios.
The Sickle Cell app also offers the provision to view patient details and the ability to seed ABHA in previously done non-ABHA registrations. Additionally, there is a syncing facility to check and sync offline data with the server, ensuring that all records are up to date.
With its comprehensive features and offline capabilities, Sickle Cell is a valuable tool in the fight against Sickle Cell Anaemia. It provides Health Facility Users with a convenient and efficient way to register, screen, and manage patients, ultimately contributing to the mission's goal of eliminating Sickle Cell Anaemia.
