It's supported by micro-transactions, which let you buy a variety of powerful cards or more gems to play the game with.

Unfortunately, Shuffle Cats does have its difficulties. It costs the game's own currency just to play matches, even consecutive matches in the same room. When playing against the computer, it can be very difficult to win until you get the hang of the game. The gameplay is overall a lot more enjoyable if you're willing to buy a couple in-game items to make your life easier.

Overall, Shuffle Cats is a nice game to try and a fairly nice game to play, depending on your tastes and patience. Since it's free, there's not much to be lost but a bit of time for giving it a shot.
