SevenMizer will make your Windows XP look like Windows 7. It also works with Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows Server 2003. After installing it, the program will automatically change almost all the Windows visual components in order to make them look and feel like Windows 7. SevenMizer doesn’t come with its own system files, but it modifies the existing ones in your system. This is especially handy when dealing with non-English Windows versions.
The installation process can take a while given the large number of system files that need to be modified. SevenMizer provides a wizard that will guide you through the process of transforming the look of your system. You are able to select which Windows components you want to modify. The program will change the files that contain system icons, pictures, cursors, logos or even videos. SevenMizer is also able to change the sound scheme of your system with one similar to Windows 7. The application is designed to skip the system files with compatibility issues, in order to prevent the system from becoming unstable as a result of wrong modifications. Before any changes are made to the system files, SevenMizer creates a back-up of the original files, allowing you to easily restore your system to its initial state at a later time.
This piece of software is very easy to use given that it automatically performs most of the actions. It is a great application that you can use to give a new look to your Windows XP.
