Setup from USB is a program that will prepare your USB flash drive for installing Windows Vista or Seven. You can use this utility to make bootable USB drives, in order to install these operating systems on any computer able to boot from a USB drive. This is especially useful when you need to set up a netbook that does not include a CD or DVD unit.
You will need a USB flash drive with a capacity of at least 4 Gb, and the Windows Vista or Seven installation CD or DVD, or the files needed for the installation saved in any folder of the hard disk. You will be guided by a wizard through the whole process. Setup from USB will ask you where the installation files are, and which USB flash unit you want to prepare to use as an installation disk. You can choose to let the program format the unit for you or not - it will clean the partitions if you choose to do so. Since all the information on your USB flash unit will be lost in the process, the program warns you several times before erasing it. When everything is set, you can launch the process. The program will make your USB flash drive a bootable unit, and will put there all the files needed to install Windows Vista or Seven from it.
