SecureLauncher is a simple app that can be regarded as a simplified version of Parental Controls. With this app, you can prevent sensitive applications from being opened, by requiring a password in order to run them. By default, all applications need a password to be run. As you start using SecureLauncher, you can whitelist certain applications so that you do not have to type the password every time.
This app is for users who do not want to or cannot enable Parental Controls for their account. SecureLauncher installs runs without requiring any special root privileges. Once you launch it, you will see a lock icon on top of your status bar. From there, you can edit the whitelist, change the password, activate, deactivate SecureLauncher, as well as send an email to Support or view the help window.
I am dedicated to this app and will be adding features based on user feedback. Also, the blog is barebones – I don’t even have a domain for it. But once people start using the app, I promise I will make it better!
Upcoming feature:
* FileVault - secure important files and folders in a vault that requires authentication to be opened.
App that stores/retrieves notes, providing a nonconformist solution to mental blockages & retrieval handicaps.
FileZilla (ported from Windows) is a fast and reliable FTP client and server with lots of useful features and an intuitive interface.
MacUpdater keeps all apps up-to-date automatically, so you don't have to search, download, install and clean up updates manually.
