Secret of the Lost Cavern is an original point-and-click game in which you are a prehistoric man who gets across a hidden cavern when he is escaping from a big cat. Once inside the cavern, he finds things that remind him of a place he used to visit with his grandfather. You will need to explore the different scenes and collect the necessary items to build a fire and continue exploring the cave. However, you must figure out everything by yourself, as there are no hints or help whatsoever. From time to time, some cut scenes will show memories of this man and will guide you a bit.
The objects you collect will be placed in your inventory and you can combine them to obtain the desired result. You can also hunt creatures using your slingshot. The game also offers an extensive database with detailed information of the prehistoric times, so it could be considered as educational. The graphics are in 3D and although they are pretty good, they are not very detailed. Sounds are very realistic and pleasant and the music is very suitable.
In conclusion, if you are looking for an enjoyable and challenging game to pass the time and also learn a bit about history, Secret of the Lost Cavern may be an excellent choice.
