SDS Shutdown Scheduler is used for automatically shutting down the system, hibernating, putting it to standby mode, breaking a current modem connection, or closing a specified application. The computer will not necessarily be shut down - it depends on the advanced settings. The program is really easy to use. When Hibernate option is enabled, all memory is written onto hard disk. And when you wake your computer up it loads its saved state from hard disk and all running applications/open documents are restored.
Many options make the program highly customizable. Users can apply specified settings to close or start any application. There are conditions under which the program will perform specified actions, at given time, after a specified period elapses, after the computer is idle for a specified amount of time, and when a specified application is closed. You can even combine the conditions by selecting options according your requirements. To select Advanced settings click the star icon in the upper left corner or press F12 when SDS runs. SDS will warn the user using short sounds every second, starting XX seconds before shutdown. It will react on closing a specified program only if the specified name and the the program's name is an exact match. After the specified program is closed SDS will wait XX seconds before initiating the computer's shutdown.
