Screenium is a feature-rich video recording utility designed for Mac that comes in handy if you need to capture screen activity. This application lets you choose between multiple recording modes, gives you access to a wide range of video editing options, and provides you with the quality videos you need within moments.
The program features an intuitive interface, is available in various languages, and comes with an integrated help guide. It also offers you a small menu which can immediately be accessed directly from your status bar.
You can record in fullscreen mode, a certain window from your desktop or an area you choose from your monitor. Once the recording process is complete you can start modifying your clip by trimming sections from the video, adding text content, applying visual effects, and much more.
The one thing that I don't like is the fact that you're unsure which are the supported output formats until you purchase the full version of the program. I tested the trial version of the utility and when I attempted to save the created videos to my local folders, the app let me know that I couldn't export the clips until I registered the product. The homepage of the developer as well as the integrated help manual don't offer you any info regarding the supported output formats. So, you can learn the aforementioned details only if you send an email to the developer or purchase the full version of the app.
Still, the application features some interesting and useful functions, offers you quality output files, and is simple to handle. So, it's definitely worth buying this video recording utility if you get access to the complete list of supported output formats.
