Saferoom is a free client application that provides zero-knowledge encryption features to Evernote, and it requires only an installation of Evernote. Using Saferoom allows you to create a new type of note: encrypted note. This note is protected by AES-256 encryption, which is used in military security. Your secure and encrypted notes are stored inside Evernote, and you can sync them between all your devices; but to decrypt your secure private data, you will need to use Saferoom.

Besides encrypting your text, Saferoom can also encrypt any attached files, including PDF, images, video, audio, etc. The note is completely encrypted, including all its attachments, making secure note-taking a reality. However, note title and note tags are not encrypted, which allows you to search for secure notes, and organize them based on tags, notebooks, and titles, while having their content and attachments protected. Highlights Saferoom works on-top of Evernote, so your encrypted notes can be easily synchronised between other device you own. You can encrypt/decrypt full notes, including any attachments. Saferoom is a pure client application - no account needed for Saferoom itself. (An Evernote account is required.) Information is encrypted using AES-256 military-grade encryption. The master password that is used as an encryption key never leaves your local device (which means that the password cannot be restored).
