Ringtones is a straightforward application for Mac users who wish to create ringtones from their favorite tunes. You can work with this program whenever you get tired of the same phone buzzer or you wish to change the tones of your contacts with ease.
Once you launch the app, Ringtones immediately scans and displays your entire music collection within iTunes. You can then select the song you wish to process, enable fade in and out effects if necessary, and choose the proper loop gap value.
A thing I like about this program is the fact that you have access to the waveform view of your tunes. This feature might prove to be of good use when choosing the start and end positions for the ringtones.
However, the application brings two flaws: there's only one output format available (M4R), and you can't select the destination folder for the results. Once you click the Send To iTunes button, the program automatically saves the output files within an iTunes folder.
If the aforementioned disadvantages don't matter much to you and you only require an app to easily make new tones for your iPhone, Ringtones offers you the solution. The app is very simple to use, communicates well with iTunes app, and offers you the results you need within seconds.
