remove.bg is a very simple application designed to help you remove backgrounds from images with a minimum of effort. The tool has the capacity to identify people, objects, cars, and animals from loaded pictures and offers to eliminate their background in no time.
Using the app is a hassle-free task. You simply drag the desired image file into the designated area or browse for your photo from within the app, decide whether the background should become transparent or unicolored, and press the Start button. The result will be saved into a new file at a computer location of your choice, selectable from Preferences. Unfortunately, no previewing is available within the program - neither of the imported file nor of the resulting picture.
Viewing the original image and the processed picture is done by opening the files. In addition, you don't have any editing options, with the exception of a special feature that lets you add shadows, but only on car photos. However, you can get the result of the image you process in the PSD format with a fully editable layer mask.
In short, remove.bg is very easy to use, yet it has quite many drawbacks - image previewing is missing, a file loaded by accident can't be deleted with just one click, and no editing features are supported. Furthermore, you need to get an API key for the app to work, a task that may be tedious and time-consuming.
