Do not let the name mislead you – Reg Organizer is much more than a Windows registry tool. Actually, the program is basically a cleanup tool to remove all unnecessary and unwanted files in the simplest and most intuitive way possible. The registry-related section is hidden behind the Miscellaneous Tools tab, and it requires you to have a deep knowledge of that delicate Windows database.
Its already attractive and clear-cut interface seems to get better on every new iteration of the program. It’s probably very similar to that of previous versions (no huge changes are overtly visible), but somehow it makes you feel that it gains in clarity and intuitiveness with every new version. The main menu (on the left-hand side of the screen) is divided into three main groups – tools for all users, for advanced users, and miscellaneous tools. This last option is the one that includes everything related to the Windows registry and, to me and because of its inherent risks, it might well be part of the previous menu option.
The cleanup and software management features are much more accessible, though. The first thing the program does is perform an Express Check and give you an overview of all the areas that can be improved to boost your system’s performance – useless files found, privacy-related items to clean, startup apps, etc. Some of them, such as the software updates and the tweaks you can perform to improve your Windows experience, are inactive until you purchase a license. All other features, however, are fully functional during the 30-day period of the trial version.
In the System Cleanup section, the program will perform a thorough scan of all your system’s drives, after which you’ll be prompted with a scan report showing all the items that can be deleted and the amount of disk space you will recover in the process. The Private Data Cleanup follows a similar procedure. Once your PC is clean of all junk files, you can improve its startup time by disabling or delaying all those programs that do not need to launch as soon as you start your computer.
The registry-related tools include a registry editor, the option to take a snapshot of your current registry status and compare it with previous ones, and the possibility of taking a look at “important registry parts”. As mentioned, anything pertaining to the registry and all possible changes you may want to perform in it require you to have a deep knowledge of how this database works. The Windows registry is a crucial piece of software when it comes to the normal functioning of your computer system, so you’re advised to handle it with care.
Reg Organizer will keep your PC or laptop in top-notch condition as far as junk and privacy-related files go. Its regular use will guarantee that you don’t lose disk space in unneeded files and hardly-ever-used applications, and that your Windows OS performs as expected.
