This application was designed to help you record video tutorials, audio books, game walkthroughs, and other things. Recorder Tools provides you with simple-to-configure output settings, offers you quality files in no time, and comes with an integrated help guide that teaches you how to set up the app according to your needs.
The program sits on your Menu Bar from where you can change the way it operates and access the built-in help guide. You can record anything being displayed on your desktop, your webcam feed or audio content from various sources (built-in input, microphone, etc.). Plus, in the main menu of the tool you can find information regarding what key combinations you can make in order to take snapshots; start, pause, resume, and stop recordings.
This utility also features a video trimming tool that helps you edit the recordings or any other clip from your local directories. Furthermore, in the main menu of the application you will find a tool for taking snapshots of your desktop.
My only issue with this program was that it supports a small amount of output formats: MOV for video recordings, M4A for audio recordings, and PNG for snapshots.
All in all, it's worth buying this cheap application only if the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you. Otherwise, I'd recommend that you try other video and audio recording tools for your Mac.
