Recent Redux is a useful system monitoring tool that shows you a list of all the recently used files and documents on your Mac. By default, when you launch the application, you will see a list of the recently-modified files all mixed up, but, if you want to, you can narrow down the list to documents, PDF files, media files, Images, apps or folders by clicking on the buttons at the top of the window. The app shows files that were modified or accessed by the user in the past 72 hours, but you can change this value from the Preferences window. From there, you can also choose whether you want to see files modified by the user only or files modified by the system as well.
Recent Redux can be used along with quick look to preview the files that are listed. You can also double-click on files to open them with their default associated applications. For example, if you double-click on an e-mail message, it will be opened with Mail.app, but if you hit the space bar, you will be able to preview the message from within the app.
There is also a filtering system that lets you configure the application to leave out files that you don't want to see in the lists.
