Recent Menu is a Mac program that help boost up your productivity. This application gives you immediate access to recently used utilities, files, and folders.
You don't need much computer experience in order to work with this tool as it's very intuitive and simple to handle. The program lives on your Menu Bar from where you can get access to recently used applications, files, and folders. Simply click over the item you wish to open and the utility will do the rest.
In the Preferences panel of the program you will find an option to define a global hotkey for immediately revealing the app's main menu with the recently used items. This feature comes in handy to people who work on big screen and wish to avoid moving their mouse cursor from one corner of the monitor to another.
My only issue with Recent Menu is the fact that you cannot choose which apps, file types or directories to exclude from monitoring.
Still, the program works perfectly, gives you immediate access to the recently used items you need, and is open source. So, you don't have nothing to lose if you decide to give it a shot.
