Got a Password Protected RAR Archive? Forgot the password? Then RAR Password Recovery Magic is for you! Just load the password protected RAR file and press the start button. Then the program will systematically search for possible passwords, until the required one is found. It even includes the list of words from the English dictionary to perform a dictionary-based search. Or you may just leave it to start from one-character passwords and work its way through two passwords, then three, then four, and so on.
On loading a RAR file, it instantly knows, what encryption is used - in my test it was AES-128. On pressing Start, it will begin the process, performing ~30-60 guesses a second. Unfortunately, our test file was not able to be opened for the first time, because the option in WinRAR to encrypt the file names was selected. On creating another test without this option, the situation was rectified and the application began reviving the password. Apart from this, the application was good. It seems though that my test password of 'password' will take a while to be revived.
