RAR Password Finder 1.01

RAR Password Finder is a .RAR password cracker for Windows. This is a very basic application that only uses one attack method. It uses brute-force to guess the passwords of RAR files with password-protection. This is a program that is considerably lighter than other solutions and it is extremely intuitive.

Password cracking is not an easy task. When I find applications like these, I can't help to compare them with tools that were 10 years ago. RAR Password Finder is made up of a single window, in which you add the file that you want to crack and specify a character set for the application to use in its brute force attack. You don't really have to set anything other than the password length, if you suspect it. If you use the default character set, most characters will be included.

I don't think RAR Password Finder uses any type of GPU acceleration. Thus, it will be as fast as your processor is. The application took at least 15 minutes to crack a simple, 4-character password. But my computer isn't too fast. It did find a correct password, though, and that is the important thing.

For more complicated passwords, a dictionary attack is often helpful. But since this tool is so light and it works well, I can't complain much.
